What Brown Can't Do For You

Well I got the '05 edition of the university yearbook in the mail the other day and I was anxious, after 6 long years of waiting, to see my senior portrait displayed alongside my recently graduated classmates. Well apparently the smart money in the Calyx office was on my not graduating until '06 as I was once again deprived of my chance to be officially acknowledged as a senior in the recorded annals of Washington and Lee. In prior editions of this storied annual, I have been listed in several different classes, starting with my original '03 followed by a '05 appearance. I was then promoted to '04 but after I didn't produce I was sent back down to '05 for two years. Now that I have been once again unfairly demoted to 2006, I have officially have had more class than British royalty.

Anyway, in order to escape my currently disappointing reality, I try to live vicariously through the exotic lives of the cast of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. These kids truly do have it made as they go about their luxurious lives without any apparent parental influences. It is like a rich and real life manifestation of Peanuts, only with shifty beefcake Jason in the doghouse instead of Snoopy. Nonetheless, since MTV only airs the show 6 times daily, I am left to fend for myself in the harsh realities of The Real World for the remainder of my day.
